The Eureka Education Project in villages ensures that children learn using innovative learning methods and build their skills and self-confidence. In their daily classes, Eureka Tutors focus on monthly learning goals and spend more time with children who need help.
In many villages, children have learnt to read and speak English for the first time, and are even confidently teaching their parents! This has created excitement and a sense of achievement in the whole village. This year, we plan to scale up this impact.
Some of the poorest families in these villages - specifically old people and single women - have no home and literally live under sheets. We have been constructing pucca houses for them. These Eureka Homes have been a dream come true for these families. We have now identified 500 more families who need this support.
